It's here on the east side of Cayuga Lake, King FerryTM Winery where you are invited to experience first-hand what having a burning passion for fine winemaking really tastes like. A small farm winery, producing world-class TreleavenTM Wines, King Ferry Winery, is owned and operated by Tacie and Peter Saltonstall. Here, delicate vinifera grapes are hand-tended and selectively picked to produce extremely complex and full-flavored wines. Treleaven Chardonnays are crafted in the centuries-old Burgundian tradition. Choosing quality over quantity, the Saltonstall family knows by reducing yields in the vineyard, barrel fermentation and aging in French and Hungarian oak barrels—only wines with proven depth of fruit character are produced.

While King Ferry Winery is widely acknowledged as a leading maker of superior, smooth, full-bodied Chardonnays—the winery produces 14 additional award-winning Treleaven Wines including a variety of exquisite Rieslings; a Gewürztr a.m.iner; Pinot Noir; Meritage; Vignoles; an earthy aromatic Cabernet Franc; and a soft, easy drinking Merlot.

One tour of our winery and you will experience what having a passion for fine winemaking really tastes like. Your tour conducted by a polite, knowledgeable King Ferry Winery guide culminates with a visit to our Tasting Room/Gallery where guests can s a.m.ple fine Treleaven vintages in a beautiful gallery setting. One dollar of the $3 non-refundable tasting fee is donated to the Food Bank of Central New York.

From Rochester, Buffalo, points west: New York State Thruway (I90) east to exit 41. Turn right at exit, go to Rt 318 East. Left on Rts 5 &20 East, then right turn onto State Rt 90 South. Follow 90 past Aurora, watch for winery sign at Lake Rd., go one mile south on Lake Rd. to winery at intersection with Center Rd. From points east (Boston): Mass Pike to NY State Thruway (I90). Take Exit 40 to Weedsport. Go south on Rt 34 through Auburn. Turn right onto Rt 34B in Fleming, follow to village of King Ferry, continue short distance to Center Rd. (watch for winery sign). Turn right onto Center Rd., one mile to winery.
