2013 Semi-Dry Riesling Featured in Wine & Spirits Magazine
Wine & Spirits magazine’s October issue saw Treleaven’s 2013 Semi-Dry Riesling make the list of the Best U.S. New Releases. A blind panel tasted 684 new-release US wines of which only 78 were rated as exceptional (90+) and 20 as Best Buys.
This riesling is drier than you might expect from the designation: It leads with a sweet brown sugar scent but the flavors are more driven by lime and passion fruit, as clean as a knife’s edge, with the freshness and lift for Massaman shrimp curry. (2,529 cases) King Ferry Winery, King Ferry, NY
“We are very honored to have received this distinction by Wine & Spirits magazine,” Marketing Manager, Michelle Kokot said. “The 2013 vintage of our Semi-Dry Riesling has been one of our best sellers since it hit the shelves. We are so proud of this product that our winemaker, Lindsay Stevens, has created.”
Along with Treleaven, two other New York wines received a 90+ rating including Millbrook 2015 Hudson River Region Proprietor’s Special Reserve Riesling, and Standing Stone 2014 Finger Lakes Saperavi.
This list is posted in their October 2016 issue.
